Medical Outreach

Our collaborative efforts with the Evangelical Church of Liberia (ECOL) are making a profound impact on the well-being of the local community. Through our Medical Outreach initiatives, we have conducted two successful events in partnership with ECOL, providing crucial healthcare services to the underserved population.

These outreaches have addressed a spectrum of health issues, ranging from essential medical wellness checks for mothers and children to specialized surgeries for eye and mouth ailments. The significance of these endeavors is underscored by the staggering number of individuals we've been able to assist, with 640 people treated during the inaugural outreach in 2022 and 810 during the subsequent one in 2023.

The necessity for more frequent medical outreach is apparent, serving as a proactive measure to offer medical prescreening that can identify and address potential health concerns before they escalate into major problems. Many of the locals face considerable challenges in accessing healthcare, often having to traverse long distances to reach the nearest clinic, which frequently lacks essential medications.

To further enhance our impact, there is an urgent need for a first aid and preventive care clinic in or near Gonkpay Village to provide vital first aid care to villagers, offering a closer and more immediate healthcare solution. We are also proposing a clinic to be built near the Open Door Baptist Church in Brewerville Liberia.

Additionally, our contact hospital in the capital city of Monrovia and other local clinics require essential medical supplies to meet the needs of the growing number of people seeking medical attention. A significant portion of the population lacks the financial means to pay for healthcare, making our support even more critical.

By addressing these multifaceted challenges, including the establishment of a local clinic and the provision of medical supplies, we aim to create a sustainable healthcare infrastructure that empowers the community and fosters a healthier future for all. Through these combined efforts, we are not only treating immediate health concerns but also working toward building a resilient healthcare system that can withstand the test of time in Liberia.
