Agape Liberia Mission

Agape Liberia Mission (ALM) is a Spirit-led ministry founded by Rev. Patrick Luke and Mrs. Angeleia Luke.

Pastor Luke was born in Arthington, Liberia and spent his formative years in his native country. He moved to the US to pursue higher education where he met his wife, Angeleia - a native of Charleston, SC. As a young family, they moved back to Liberia but were later driven from the country by civil war in 1989.

The Lukes eventually settled in Charleston, SC where the couple raised two children and where Rev. Luke later earned U.S. citizenship. Meanwhile, the couple prayed for opportunities to make lasting impact in a war-torn Liberia, even though they lived an ocean away.

In 2018, upon their first visit back to Liberia after a series of civil wars that collectively lasted almost 15 years and claimed the lives of over 250,000 civilians, Rev. & Mrs. Luke shared a vision to establish an organization that would make a positive impact on the community. Working with their children, Parthenia and Patrick, Jr., as well as other dynamic individuals, groups, and organizations in the US and in Liberia, Agape Liberia Mission was officially established in 2022.

The Lukes have played an instrumental role in shaping ALM's direction and fostering a spirit of compassion and service within the organization. Their commitment to uplifting communities and their dedication to the mission's values have been foundational in guiding Agape Liberia Mission toward its transformative initiatives in Liberia.
